Costa Rica land is composed of seven provinces which are divided into 81 cantons, each of which are directed by democratically elected mayors. Land in Costa Rica is extremely diverse, so there is a piece of Costa Rica land for everyone.
Costa Rica land has several different climates, views, nature and many characteristics that cater to everyone's needs, so here is a brief explanation about what you can find when looking for land in Costa Rica:
Alajuela
Alajuela has some of the best Costa Rica land. It is located in the north-central part of the country and has a border with Nicaragua. This is one of the most diverse land in Costa Rica, with altitudes ranging from 2.704 meters (8.870 feet) at the Poas Volcano to 92 meters (301 feet) over the sea level. The canton of Atenas in Alajuela has what National Geographic calls, the best climate in the world. This is where you will find the Juan Santamaria International Airport and prime Costa Rica land.
Cartago
Cartago, Costa Rica land with cool climate. Located in the central part of the country, was formerly the capital of Costa Rica. It has some of the best land in Costa Rica for agriculture in the country. The sites and attractions of Cartago are usually related to religious beliefs, like the Basilica de Los Angeles, the most beautiful church in the country and the Ruins of the old Parish.
Guanacaste
Guanacaste has hands down the most desired Costa Rica land. It's located in the north-western part of Costa Rica, along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Its climate and culture are unique among Costa Rica land, with consistently warm weather, breathtaking beaches and fantastic folklore. Some of the most amazing and most visited beaches in Guanacaste are Hermosa, Tamarindo, Flamingo, Avellanas, Flamingo and the Gulf of Papagayo, pearls of Costa Rica land.
Heredia
Heredia, the smallest province in Costa Rica land, is located in the north central part of the country. It's known popularly as the City of Flowers because of the beautiful women that are born in the province, a definite plus to this Costa Rica land. Heredia has a great part of its territory declared protected areas, so natural beauty it's definitely one of its major attractions since you can find some of the most nature surrounded land in Costa Rica in this province.
Limón
Limón offers multicultural Costa Rica land. It's located in the eastern part of the country at the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. About 50 percent of Limón's residents are of Afro-Caribbean ancestry. English Creole and Spanish are spoken in the province and the town of Puerto Viejo is a popular surfing destination. The rest of its beaches are of stunning beauty and offer fantastic Costa Rica land.
Puntarenas
Puntarenas is the largest province in Costa Rica and it covers most of Costa Rica's Pacific Ocean in the western part of the country. For administrative purposes, the island Isla del Coco, 500 km offshore in the Pacific Ocean, is considered a part of this province and Costa Rica land. The Paseo de los Turistas or "the tourists stroll" is the most famous attraction of the province.
San José
San José is located in the central part of the country and San José city is the national capital. On 1884, San José became the third city in the world, after New York and Paris, to be illuminated by electricity. San José offers great hotels, museums, restaurants, parks, shopping malls, theatres, galleries, night life and plenty of Costa Rica land available.
